“I have worked with thousands of patients and regardless of each unique presentation, I have seen that when the system is supported and obstacles to healing are removed, the body can move towards vitality, and from that place optimal health can be achieved.  I believe that disease and dysfunction are the body’s attempt to restore internal balance and adapt to suboptimal conditions.  My approach in helping patients regain this balance and attain their health goals focuses on treating the whole person as a unique individual, not a collection of symptoms.” –  Kate Tenney, N.D.

Dr. Kate Tenney is a board certified and licensed Naturopathic Doctor who treats a broad range of acute and chronic conditions seen in family practice. While she treats people of all ages with a wide range of health concerns, she specializes in integrative health for men, women, naturopathic gynecology and integrated oncology support. In each case, she seeks to identify the dissonance in the system and the causes of disruption, while engaging the body to heal itself in the process. She also enjoys working with families, helping parents and children find natural ways to be healthy. Because she shares many of Dr. McDougall’s philosophies and methodologies the two often co-manage patients, holding weekly meetings to discuss cases and treatment plans.

Dr. Tenney’s approach focuses over a decade’s worth of experience in identifying and eliminating acute and long-term obstacles to healing.  She uses a blend of cutting-edge modalities to address disease and dysfunction at multiple levels – physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual, in order to restore vitality and wellness to the whole person

Dr. Tenney earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, from the oldest fully accredited naturopathic medical school, National College of Natural Medicine, in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Tenney was the resident ND and under women’s health expert, Dr. Kimberly Windstar, ND at the NCNM Clinic for two years, where her focus was naturopathic gynecology, preventive medicine, and endocrine disorders. Dr. Tenney was in private practice in SW Portland until 2010 when she moved with her family back to her home state, California. She joined CLEAR Center for Health in 2012.
