In her practice Dr. Massey serves as your doctor, health coach and medical detective to uncover the root cause of disease and lead you to optimal health. Dr. Massey discovered her fascination with medicine while working with schools and small-scale agriculture projects in rural villages of Lesotho, Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Her time in Lesotho introduced her to natural medicine via her observation of people’s reliance on each other and the local herbalist because access to doctors and hospitals was limited. Dr. Massey learned that the best medicine one can receive comes from combining the latest advances in modern medicine with centuries old natural remedies.

As a Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist, Dr. Massey practices Integrative Family Medicine with an emphasis on gynecology, women's health, adolescent and children’s care, complex digestive disorders, allergies and food sensitivities. She takes the time to examine possible root causes of conditions that contribute to health issues, thoroughly evaluating a patient's unique individual blood chemistry, hormones, health history, and life history. Dr. Massey is trained as a primary care provider and works with people of all ages. Her protocols incorporate complementary therapies such as acupuncture, bio-identical hormones, nutrient therapy, western herbs, and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Additionally, Dr. Massey offers integrative annual gynecological visits for women. “I treat the gynecology exam visit as the one time a year a woman has an opportunity for her overall health management.” The annual exam includes a thorough health discussion of your past and current health, full physical exam including a comprehensive breast exam, Pap test and any necessary treatment combining both conventional and natural medicine. Dr. Massey's holistic approach empowers women of all ages, especially adolescents getting their first exam, and is a valuable step toward giving women confidence in maintaining good gynecological health.

Dr. Massey completed a Naturopathic Medical Residency in Northern California. She trained extensively in women's health, hormone balancing, and pediatrics while working alongside gynecologists and pediatricians in Bay Area medical clinics. Dr. Massey is a licensed Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncturist with both degrees from Bastyr University. During her clinical training at Bastyr, Dr. Massey specialized in integrative oncology at Highline Hospital in Burien, Washington and integrative HIV/AIDS care both at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health and Harborview Hospital in Seattle, WA. She continued to work with underserved populations while at Bastyr University by participating in clinical shifts at homeless women's shelters.
