Lissa Rankin, M.D.
What happens when an OB/GYN, artist, and writer balances her skills to offer up-to-date Integrative Gynecology?
RESULTS.
"Being female is a gift. Nurturing your body and spirit is a way to say thank you."
An accomplished artist and writer, as well as a board certified gynecologist, Lissa Rankin, M.D., believes that the path to women's wellness requires more than traditional gynecology alone provides. Inspired by a synergy between the spiritual nature of art and the pragmatic side of western medicine, she established an unprecedented practice in Integrative Gynecology.
Dr. Rankin specializes in treating PMS, improving sexual health, addressing abnormal pap smears, healthy menopause, maximizing fertility, gentle pediatric and teen gynecology, and gynecologic health after breast cancer. Additionally, she offers many technical gynecological procedures such as colposcopy, IUD insertion, and endometrial biopsy in the comfort of CLEAR's healing environment. "My practice assimilates the most up-to-date western medicine with alternative and complementary modalities. True gynecologic health requires integrating nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and medical treatment with one's inner wisdom and a healing spirit.
"I encourage women to seek better health through creative expression and believe that nurturing your female body is the first step. To embrace being female is to discover your wholeness. Caring for your reproductive organs is often the first step to living a richer, healthier, sexier life. The transitions we face, starting in puberty, through our reproductive years, to menopause and beyond, offer us the opportunity to grow in understanding and acceptance of our bodies and who we are as women and open us to more satisfying vitality, creativity, and sexuality.
"I hope you will come away from your appointment inspired to tackle your health issues and to grow and thrive on a deeper level."
